X-Ray Dose Company is the leading company in the safety equipment for a wide variety of services and industries on a global scale. Whether you are in the United States of America, South America, Australia, Europe or Asia we will provide you with a simple solution for your radiation detection needs. Our low price dosimetry equipment and radiation badge service has lead us to a worldwide reputation that proceeds ourselves. Our ultimate goal is to not only win national awards and accolades within our industry but to set a precedent for all other companies to follow. So whatever industry you find yourself in, please ensure to have the proper dosimetry in place to be federally and state compliant as well as to fulfill needs required by OSHA.
Low Cost Radiation Detection
Each industry has different needs and specialization for their dosimetry needs. We offer several types of personal dosimetry products for specific needs. Most of our clients choose whole body badges for personal dosimetry. The standard TLD radiation badge will suffice when dealing with X-rays, Beta, or Gamma. Our radiation badges are desired by the experts in the industry due to their tissue equivalence. This just means that our product reads and records radiation exposure in the same way your body is effected by radiation in a very accurate way. However, we offer ring dosimeters, fetal monitors, environmental dosimeters, wrist badges, and a few other not-so-common products. If you have questions just call and ask.

Radiation Monitoring Service Options
Standard TLD Dosimetry Badge
A perfect choice for veterinarians, dental, chiropractors, urgent care, radiology, imaging centers, government workers, pain management centers, colleges and universities that use X-rays and similar equipment. This type of radiation badge is the most commonly used badge in the marketplace. Rarely will you need a different type of badge to suffice for monitoring whether it's for state or local compliance or just for safe business practices.
Ring Dosimeter
The ring dosimeter is worn when there is a potential exposure directly to the extremities. The ring dosimeter is often used when dealing with handheld X-ray equipment and/or nuclear medicine which is being held by the employee. The ring dosimeter is a simple plastic configuration resembling a wedding ring that you can adjust to fit any finger with comfort and style.
Fetal Monitor
The fetal badge is used when there is a declared pregnant worker who is anywhere in the office and by "anywhere" we mean ANYWHERE! Even if the pregnant employee is up front at the front desk they need to be wearing a radiation fetal monitor.
Environmental Dosimeter
The environmental dosimeter is designed and packaged to be used in outdoor environments and sheltered from the elements but still capture any exposure in an outdoor environment.
Wrist Badge
A wrist badge is a standard badge but is especially designed to be worn around the wrist with a specialized wrist strap.
Neutron Detecting Badge: A unique radiation badge that can record neutron exposure is a rare product. However, it is used commonly among soil engineering companies, those who work with density gauges and nuclear power plants.
X-Ray Badge Examples - When to Use Them
Example 1: If a dentist is using handheld x-ray equipment they should be wearing a dosimeter ring. What’s a dosimeter ring, you ask? Well, a dosimeter ring has the same components as a body badge but is worn on the finger with an adjustable strap that fits comfortably on any finger. Conduct your handheld x-rays with a stylish and comfortable finger ring dosimeter.
Example 2: If an employee is pregnant or expects to be pregnant, she NEEDS to be wearing a fetal monitor. A fetal monitor is a radiation dosimeter badge that is worn around the belly and is exchanged on a monthly basis, meaning we will measure and record the dose that a fetus receives. Since a fetus is growing so rapidly and new cells are being formed every second of every day, it is paramount to be tracking the progress of radiation exposure to the unborn child. It's recommended by experts in this field that every woman who is expecting should be monitored with a fetal badge regardless of their placement or position in the office.
Example 3: When using a density gauge for soil engineering, an employee should be wearing a radiation dosimeter that will measure and record the exposure of neutron radiation which is different from other sources of radiation like x-rays, gamma and beta. Neutrons are a fast-moving radiation source that cannot be accurately measured and recorded with a standard dosimetry badge.
